Event announcement: Pre-festival warm-up for the Street Musicians Festival

VAN STAGE AND JAZZERS FROM ITALY ON WEDNESDAY ON FREEDOM SQUARE, IN PETROVARADIN AND ON NOVO NASELJE

The pre-festival warm-up, as a promotional event of this year’s Street Musicians Festival, a day ahead of the opening ceremony, will be held on Wednesday, 3^rd September at 4pm on Freedom Square (Trg Slobode) in Novi Sad. The Radio AS FM  Van stage side-by-side with Camillocromo Beat Band from Italy, will entertain the citizens of Novi Sad with a brief performance in the centre, before continuing later in the afternoon to Petrovaradin – bloc no. 8 from 6pm, as well as to Novo Naselje, near the primary school, from 8pm.

At the same time, the citizens will on all three locations be able to receive their own copy of the free, printed version of the Street Musicians Festival “Magazine”, with program and performer announcements, as well as the lineup and the map of this year’s event. The representatives of the media and other associates of the Festival will at the beginning of the program on Wednesday, on Freedom Square, be able to receive their accreditations for the further course of the Festival.

The mobile musical installation with a live band and a DJ set will tour the city during the Street Musicians Festival, delivering positive vibrations to various locations across the Novi Sad city centre. The backbone of the program will be the DJ crew from Radio AS FM with a carefully selected and entertaining setlist from earlier eras. On two occasions, during the pre-Festival warm-up, as well as the day of the opening ceremony, on Freedom Square, guests of the Van stage will be the Italian Camillocromo Beat Band, and their addictive blend of swing-jazz and electronic beats. The other location of the Van stage, in the centre will be Danube Street (Dunavska ulica), near the fountain, where visitors will also have a chance to be photographed in a DJ ambience, and later on download the photos via the Internet.

The event will truly awaken the nomadic spirit of the typical street performers, with constant relocations and address changes, captivating the audience on this year’s Street Musicians Festival interpreted by Radio AS FM. The Street Musicians Festival will this year be held in Novi Sad for the 14^th consecutive time, from 4^th to 6^th September, and is organized by the Art Association “Inbox”.
